This film is something else.
It’s trippy, unsettling and creepy right from the start. What begins as something slightly odd quickly turns into something far more disturbing.
At its heart, it’s a real test of a relationship under extreme pressure. The longer it goes on, the more trapped and suffocating everything feels.
It had been a few years since I last watched it, so I’d forgotten some of the key moments.
One thing I’ll probably never forget, though, is that creepy kid.
Seriously.
Still one of the most unsettling children I’ve seen in a film.
Overall, it’s one of those films I keep coming back to. The concept is so strange and interesting, and it stays with you long after the credits roll.
If you haven’t seen it before, the less you know going in, the better.
