I was pleasantly surprised by this.
The cast is great, the premise is interesting and, for the sake of this review, we’ll just ignore the fact that it’s a Netflix film.
It was an enjoyable watch, but it definitely lacked suspense. Don’t get me wrong, there are some genuinely creepy moments and a few horrific scenes, but that slow psychological build-up I was expecting never really happened.
It felt like it had all the ingredients for something properly unsettling, but never quite turned up the tension enough.
Still, I enjoyed it.
